Wellness Mama is a world renown alternative health blogger who approached Richtergarten to design an ebook to contain her articles about home remedies. Right from the start, we knew we wanted to give this ebook the look of an antique herb medicinal book/field guide. We also wanted to make the information seem approachable and easy to handle and use, while looking very organic, natural, and like information that had been gathered from years of studying herbs and other natural ingredients. This was accomplished by making the pages of the ebook look like the open pages of an actual antique herb book/field guide, with a center middle crease, faded and yellowed background pages and traditional old style design. The cover and back page were made to look like the book was closed on top of a table.
